About Sara, the dietitian

I’m Sara Stanford, a Registered Dietitian and Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics dedicated to helping active individuals and athletes feel their best—both physically and mentally. Through SD Performance Nutrition, I provide personalized, evidence-based counseling that goes beyond meal plans to uncover the deeper factors affecting performance, energy, and overall well-being.

Whether you’re training for a specific event, noticing a drop in energy, or struggling with disordered eating or body image, my approach integrates performance nutrition with a compassionate understanding of the relationship between food, body, and mind.
